What TruXSocial is

TruXSocial is a social network built on three promises — Safety, Privacy, and Freedom — with the community it serves at the center. You can speak freely without drowning in abuse, your conversations and your data stay yours, and moderation is handled fairly — for the people posting and the people keeping things safe alike. It’s live now, in public testing at truxsocial.org.

What makes it different

Most platforms make you choose: a free-for-all that turns toxic, or safety enforced by heavy-handed, invisible rules. TruXSocial is built so you don’t have to:

• Privacy by default. Hidden data — like the location quietly baked into a photo — is stripped out of everything you upload, so sharing doesn’t mean leaking.
• Moderation you can see. Reports, reviews, and the actions taken on them are logged and transparent — not a black box of silent bans.
• Respect for everyone — including the moderators. The people keeping the community safe get real tools and care, because a healthy platform needs healthy moderators, not burnt-out ones.
• Free expression and safety, together. The whole platform is built on the belief that those two aren’t enemies — the part most platforms still get wrong.

What you can do today

Everything here works right now:

• Create an account and post text and images.
• Follow people and get notified about likes, mentions, follows, comments, and replies.
• Find conversations with hashtags and search.
• Send private messages — with read receipts, attachments, and edit-or-unsend.
• React, comment, reply, vote, share, and bookmark.
• A “For You” feed that surfaces fresh, relevant posts.

Where it’s going

We’re scaling the platform and broadening what you can do — without ever compromising the safety and care that come first. Discovery, messaging, and moderation keep getting better.
